This two-term Minor offers a practical experience in the use of documentary photography as a tool for the visual investigation of contemporary issues. You will create a body of work that documents an issue or idea. Weekly classes will critique and edit projects in progress. Digital capture allows you a wider opportunity to tell the whole story. Business discussions will examine the outlets and markets for documentary photography in the world today. Other business considerations focus on ethics and the mechanics of the genre. You will keep a journal relating to your projects and the issues raised through self-study, outside influences and class discussions.
